Booking an inspection

To book an inspection simply contact us during regular business hours at 1-888-563-5699. A booking agent will be happy to answer any questions you may have and schedule an inspection for you. At the time of scheduling, our booking agent will provide you with a confirmation number.

To ensure availability, we suggest that your book your inspection at least 72 hours prior to your required date of inspection, if possible. We will do our utmost to work with your schedule by providing weekend and late afternoon appointments subject to daylight availability. An average inspection takes between 2 to 4 hours on-site, as well as additional time to write your detailed report. Please allow additional time when selecting one of our more detailed Mike Holmes Inspections services.

When booking an inspection, please be prepared to provide the following:

Information to your booking agent:

  • Building type (i.e. detached, condominium, town house, etc.);
  • Estimated size of the home (in square feet);
  • The inspections service package selected (i.e. ESSENTIAL, EXTENDED, etc.);
  • Estimated age of the home;
  • Contact information for yourself and / or your real estate agent;
  • Any additional information or requests for inspector.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel a previously scheduled inspection, please contact us at 1-888-563-5699 with at least 24 hours notice prior to your scheduled inspection to speak with one of our booking agents. Our booking agent will cancel your appointment as directed. At this time you may also reschedule an inspection for the new date and time, based on availability.

When canceling an inspection, our booking agent will provide you with a confirmation number which will ensure your credit card is not billed for the scheduled inspection.

Please note that any cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be billed at 50% of the fee quoted for the inspection, at the time of booking.

Contracts

Copies of the Contract are available for your review and will be faxed or emailed to you prior to the inspection.
